Welcome Back to all the Reciprocal Golf Clubs, Big Summer Card Holders, Junior Golf families, the West Group, Venice Newcomers, and the many other local and vacationing golfers. We appreciate your patronage and hope you enjoy your experience here at our Club. The staff at Lemon Bay takes pride in demonstrating outstanding service which is second to none to all our members (and that includes you because you are a member if just for the day).
From the moment you drive up, you are greeted by our “Greencaps” who will graciously take care of your clubs and place them on a cart and direct you to check in upstairs in the shop. There the friendly staff will quickly get you settled so you can start you your golf experience. They will ask you if you are interested in purchasing a “Lunch Coupon” which covers an entrée, beverage, tax and gratuity; or, if you should need some new golf balls or memorabilia of your day. Browse the shop and hopefully treat yourself to something new! Once you finished checking in, the “Greencaps” will get you off to the starter so you do not miss your tee-time.
Enjoy our Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, and respect all wildlife including our gators. Follow policies governing play here at the club. We ask that you play ready golf, sand your divots, fix you ball marks and use the course receptacles for any garbage. Please refrain from tossing your cigarette butts in our ponds, waste bunkers and course in general. Our grounds crew is always out there somewhere making sure the course is well maintained and they will try not to impede your play. Just say hi, as you pass them by. This year we are rebuilding our bunkers, so you may find some in a variety of repair stages, we apologize for this inconvenience but there is no good time to do this. If you find that your ball has fallen into one of these bare traps…just remove and follow rules for ground under repair placement outside of bunker.
Now it is Florida, and it is summer and the weather can change on a dime. Lemon Bay takes lightning seriously and we are notified if lightning is in area so if you hear 3 blasts of a horn… please seek cover, we hope you come back to the clubhouse but there is a bathroom for those in the back side of the course. Immediate evacuation of the course is required. We ask that you not put our staff in danger by disregarding this policy and having to come get you. Stay safe until you hear a single solid blast which will be the all clear signal.
Don’t forget that Lunch Coupon in your wallet that you purchased before going out…the dining room is upstairs or if you get hungry or thirsty, stop in at our grill where the Food & Beverage department is patiently waiting to serve you. They offer a wonderful selection of menu items to feed your hunger, and even more selections to quench your thirst. You say you don’t have time? They prepare most anything to go… you can call ahead 941-697-4190 x209 and they will have it ready when you make the turn or finish your round.
Our alcohol license requires that all alcohol must be purchased and consumed on property, so leave your coolers at home…stop up in the bar and they will provide you with a cooler and ice for your favorite thirst quenchers. We just ask that you return them when your round is done.
